76er’s fined $100k for violating injury reporting

The Philadelphia 76ers were recently penalized with a hefty fine of $100,000 for violating the NBA’s injury reporting regulations once again.

The team failed to accurately indicate the game status of their star player, Joel Embiid, prior to their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2. In the original injury report, Embiid was listed as “Out,” but he ended up playing in the game.

This discrepancy led to the NBA’s imposed fine, which takes into account the 76ers’ previous violations of the injury reporting rules.
