Milwaukee’s heart and hustle is staying home.
Bobby Portis intends to sign a three-year, $44 million contract to return to the Milwaukee Bucks, per ESPN. The deal includes a player option for the 2027–28 season, negotiated by Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports.
Portis, who averaged 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds off the bench last season, continues to be one of the most impactful sixth men in the league. His energy, rebounding, and clutch shot-making have made him a staple of Milwaukee’s rotation and a fan favorite since arriving in 2020.
A champion in 2021, Portis brings both playoff experience and a no-nonsense edge to a Bucks team looking to get back to the top of the East. After re-signing Giannis Antetokounmpo and extending head coach Doc Rivers, this move keeps the locker room stable and focused heading into another crucial season.
The Bucks’ core isn’t going anywhere — and neither is Bobby.
