Today the Cleveland Cavaliers made history by beating the Hornets 128-114 to win their 15th game in a row, now pushing themselves as only the 4th team in NBA history to win their first 15 games of the season. They join Prime Hakeem and the 1994 NBA Champions Houston Rockets, the best record ever in the the 2016 Warriors and the 1949 Washington Capitals as the only teams to win 15 or more games to start the season.

The Warriors have the best record to start a season, when they won 24 games on way to a NBA record 73 wins 9 loss season, but ultimately lost to LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals, out of the 3 other teams that made it, all three made the finals and only 1 team won the finals, that being the Houston Rockets.

Both Mobley (23 points and 11 rebounds) and Allen (21 points 15 rebounds) had double doubles in the historic games, with Darius Garland leading the way with 25 points, with Ty Jerome matched his career high in points with 24 points.

Even though Cleveland Cavaliers has seen immense amounts of talent before, such as the early 2000’s and late 2010’s in LeBron James and in the 1990’s with Mark Price and Brad Daughtery, none have come close to such an incredible feat.

Garland has seemed to look like the player we all wanted him to be, picked as number 5 in the draft, he has seen way too many injuries and adjustments to the arrival of star player Donovan Mitchell, he made the All-Star game in 2022 and had a major jaw injury and other injuries that limited him play time.

But he is finally healthy and playing well, hee is seeing incredible improvements in his shooting, from 44.6% FG last season to 53.1% and 37.1% 3pt to 45.8% and as a result his scoring has increased from 18 PPG to 21.1 PPG.

The whole team has been contributing with Garland scoring, shooting and passing at a high level, Donovan being the Star player we know he is an extremely clutch in the 4th quarter, even hitting a game winner vs the Bucks, Mobley and Allen securing the paint, rebounds and dominating like Prime Shaq and destroying the rim with nasty dunks.

The Cavaliers look unstoppable right now, but they have a rival in the Boston Celtics who have just as good of a start, with a 11-3 record, the defending champs will give the Cavs a run for their money, Brown, Tatum, White, Holiday and Porzingis are still the favourites to win, if the Cavs can win tonight, then they will make some noise in the east playoffs this off season.
