In an exciting trade, the Lakers finally get rid of Dangelo Russell after sending him back to the Nets after 2.5 years of disappointments. In return for Russell, the Lakers get Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton. The Lakers also gave up Maxwell Lewis, a bench player and 3 future 2nd round draft picks.

Dangelo Russell is averaging a career low 12.5 points per game, almost his career low in rebounds with 2.8 per game , and the 2nd lowest in his career in assists with 4.7. Russell was originally drafted 2nd overall by the Lakers in 2015 and has since played on 4 teams, including two separate stints with the Lakers and Nets.

Maxwell Lewis is averaging a solid 3 minutes per game coming off the bench for 47 games in his NBA career scoring only 15 points playing a total of 132 minutes. He is only a 22 year old sophomore in the NBA being drafted 40th overall in the second round in 2023.

Dorian Finney-Smith is averaging the second most points in his career with 10.4, as well as steals with 0.9, and 3 pointers per game with 2.4 and shooting a career high from 3 point land with 43.5%, as well tying a career high in blocks with 0.6 per game.

Shake Milton is averaging a solid 7.4 points per game off the bench, to go along with his 2.4 assists per game and his 1.9 rebounds per game. Milton is a 6 year NBA veteran being drafted in 2016 in the second round by the Dallas Mavericks.
