
Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan added another milestone to his Hall of Fame-worthy career, becoming just the 27th player in NBA history to surpass 25,000 career points.
DeRozan hit the mark in the third quarter of Sacramento’s 128-116 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night at Golden 1 Center, drilling one of his signature turnaround mid-range jumpers at the 8:32 mark. The Kings recognized his achievement during a timeout with 5:42 remaining, drawing an ovation from the Sacramento crowd.

“It’s always an honor,” DeRozan said postgame. “It’s an honor, period, to be able to play this game at a high level. My 16th year, being able to be recognized in the top whatever it is of scorers in this league… That’s special.”
