Strength in Numbers
If you’ve watched basketball in the last decade, you’ve seen the Golden State Warriors basically rewrite the rules of the game. But before Steph Curry was pulling up from half-court, this team had a long, crazy history.

The Philadelphia Years (1946–1962)
Founded as the Philadelphia Warriors, they won the first-ever BAA championship in 1947 behind Joe Fulks. In 1959, they drafted Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in a single game in 1962.

Move to San Francisco (1962–1971)
After Wilt was traded, the team moved west. The 70s brought Rick Barry, who led them to the 1975 championship in one of the biggest upsets in Finals history.

The Dark Years & Run TMC (1985–1991)
The 80s were rough, but Run TMC — Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin — brought excitement back.

The Curry Revolution (2014–Present)
In 2014, the Warriors hired Steve Kerr and unleashed the most dangerous shooting backcourt ever: Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Add Draymond Green and later Kevin Durant, and the Warriors became a dynasty, winning four titles (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022).

Why the Warriors Changed Basketball
They didn’t just win — they transformed the game with pace, space, and insane three-point shooting.
