The matchup will mark the league’s 33rd game in Mexico since 1992 – more than any country outside of the U.S. and Canada.
The Heat, who will be playing its third game in Mexico, currently features some amazing players, including six-time NBA All-Star, 2023 All-NBA second team, and 4-time All-NBA third team member Jimmy Butler, who was also the 2015 Most Improved Player and has been named to the 5-time All-NBA defensive second team. Additionally, they have Bam Adebayo, a three-time NBA All-Star, 2024 All-NBA Defensive first team, and 4-time all-defensive second team player. Not to forget Jaime Jaquez Jr., who was born in Mexico and was a 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team member. They will also have Tyler Hero, the 2022 Sixth Man of the Year, and the experienced Kevin Love, who has an impressive resume comprising an NBA championship, 5-time All-Star, 3-point contest Champion, and 2-time NBA second team.
On the other hand, the Wizards, who will be playing their fourth game in Mexico, have NBA champions Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole on their roster. They also possess the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
The NBA Mexico City Game 2024 will be broadcast live in Mexico on ESPN and NBA League Pass. Fans in more than 200 countries and territories will also be able to watch the game on television, digital media, and social media.
