In the upcoming Celtics Game 5, the Miami Heat bench will be without the services of their star player Jimmy Butler, who is still recovering from a knee injury, and Terry Rozier, who is dealing with a neck issue and Rookie forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been added to the struggling heat bench as he too is injured. The Heat are currently facing a 3-1 deficit in the series, and are looking to avoid elimination.
During the games he played, the Heat have turned to rookie forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. to step up and help fill the void left by the injured players. Jaquez Jr. has been starting in every game of the playoffs so far, and has been one of the players who has stepped up to help the team in the absence of their star player Jimmy Butler.
In the four playoff games he has played in, Jaquez Jr. has been averaging 12.8 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game. He has been playing significant minutes, with only Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Caleb Martin playing more minutes than him.
Tyler Herro has also been instrumental in helping the Heat make a comeback, but with the addition of Jaquez Jr. to the lineup, the team is hoping to gain some much-needed momentum and force a Game 6 in the series.
