Minnesota Timberwolves fans received great news on Friday night as their star player, Karl-Anthony Towns, returned to the court after missing 18 games due to a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The All-star forward has been sidelined since March 4th and had to undergo surgical treatment to repair the damage on March 12.

Towns made his comeback in Friday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, which the Wolves won 109-106. The 7-footer played for over 27 minutes and finished with eleven points, five rebounds, and eight assists on four-for-eleven shooting, including one out of six from three-point range.

Throughout the season, Towns has been averaging 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, making him one of the best players in the league. Despite his absence, Minnesota managed to win twelve games and lose only six, which is an impressive record.

As the playoffs are approaching, Towns’ return is a significant boost for the Wolves. The team is set to begin the playoffs on April 20 or 21, and with the return of their star player, they will be looking to make a deep run in the tournament.

According to coach Chris Finch, Towns looked great in his return to the court. He said, “He’s looked really good all throughout. Now it’s just time to get him up to speed physically.” With Towns back in the lineup, Minnesota fans can look forward to an exciting playoff run.
