In recent news, the Denver Nuggets Guard and former MVP Russell Westbrook fine $35,000 by the NBA for an obscene gesture in the fourth quarter of the Nuggets loss to New York on November 25th.
The athletic guard has been going slightly better than last season with a 1.1 point increase, from 11.1 to 12.2. Assists are up to 5.9 per game, steals up to 1.5 per game and blocks to 0.6 per game. Surprisingly, always Westbrook fine shooting at around 30% from three, but this year he is actually shooting the best 3 point percentage of his career with 37.5% from three pointer.
Alongside reigning MVP and soon to be MVP Nikola Jokic, who is still averaging a triple double may I add, Westbrook seems to be the perfect fit for the Serbian.
Westbrook fine stats are ok, but if he can up the stats a bit and stay healthy, Ring number 1 and 6th man of the year award isn’t impossible. Just as Kevin Garnett said in 2008,” Anything is Possible.”
