Production is points / assists / rebounds per game from the season of the injury. est. marks an approximate stat line, not a verified figure.

How the score works

  1. Injury weight = 30% grade severity + 50% share of the regular season missed + 20% re-injury risk. Weeks out and re-injury risk (shown as a %) both fill in automatically from the injury and grade. You can override the weeks.
  2. Player weight = 70% production + 30% team reliance. Production is PPG + 1.5×APG + 1.2×RPG, capped at 50. Reliance comes from role (franchise 1.0, star 0.85, starter 0.6, rotation 0.4, bench 0.2).
  3. Panic score = 10 × (injury weight × player weight)0.75. The curve keeps role players near the green end and lets true superstar losses reach the red.
G1 Mild: sprain or strain, days to a couple of weeks.
G2 Moderate: partial tear or significant strain, several weeks.
G3 Severe: complete tear or surgery, months to a year.

Average return times and re-injury percentages are rough modeling values for each injury type and grade, not medical predictions or true probabilities, and real recoveries vary widely. Grades are editorial classifications, not official medical grades. This tool is for fun and analysis, not medical or betting advice.
