2026 NBA Draft Big Board: My Top 10 Prospects Ranked

The 2026 NBA Draft class hasn’t even finished its NCAA run, yet it’s already being talked about as one of the deepest, most star-heavy classes ever. This group is absolutely loaded with future franchise guys, and there’s a core group of prospects that keeps popping up at the top of every board. Teams like Indiana, Washington, Brooklyn, and even Sacramento are already dreaming about how one of these players could change their future.
In this breakdown, I’m going beyond the hype and putting my own spin on the class. I’ll walk through scouting reports, ideal team fits, and the strengths and weaknesses of my top 10 prospects, one by one. Think of this as a full, big board breakdown: name, position, school, key stats, and the archetype each player fits into. Let’s dive in.

TOP 10 NBA DRAFT PICKS

AJ Dybansta NBA draft

1. AJ Dybantsa / SF / UCLA

AJ Dybantsa has been my projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft ever since I first used his player download in NBA 2K24. He’s a 6’9″ modern wing with elite scoring ability and a sky-high superstar ceiling. His shot creation and athleticism make him a constant threat from all three levels, but his handle and shot consistency against high-level, physical defenders raise real questions about how well he’ll handle NBA contact and pressure.

darryn peterson

2. Darryn Peterson / SG / Kansas

Darryn Peterson is one of the best players in this draft class, averaging around 22 points per game and showcasing his natural instincts as a pure bucket-getter and potential franchise scorer. However, there are major concerns surrounding him as we get closer to draft night. The first is his injury history. How valuable can a player be if he’s constantly unavailable? But there’s another concern that almost no one is talking about: his limited playmaking. Can he truly excel as a playmaker, or will he only be limited to a scoring role?

darius acuff jr

3. Darius Acuff Jr. / PG / Kentucky

Darius Acuff Jr. is one of the late risers in this draft, but make no mistake, he’s also one of this year’s brightest stars. As an explosive guard who can get to the rim and create his own shot any day of the week, his dynamic scoring and playmaking are exactly what teams want in a modern point guard. Outside of his decision-making and occasional scoring inconsistency, there’s a real chance Acuff Jr. climbs as high as No. 2 in this year’s draft.

caleb wilson

4. Caleb Wilson / PF / UNC

Caleb Wilson may have had his season cut short by a right thumb injury, but he’s still the best forward in this class. At 6’10”, he can score at will with freakish athleticism, capable of putting up 20 points and 10 rebounds on any given night. His defensive versatility makes him a legitimate two-way threat. Still, injuries matter when it comes to draft stock, and his offensive bag isn’t as fully developed as it should be at this stage.

cam boozer nba draft

5. Cameron Boozer / PF / Duke

Cameron Boozer is the son of Carlos Boozer, the former NBA All-Star forward, and evidently, some of that skill was passed down to Cam, averaging 22 Points with 10 Rebounds on elite efficiency. He has a high floor and is an NBA-ready player, but the upside isn’t as high as other analysts would have liked, proving he is a solid player, but that’s about it.

6. Keaton Wagler / SG / Illinois

Keaton Wagler is a breakout combo guard for Illinois. Of the top six prospects on this draft board, he’s the only one still playing in the NCAA Division I Playoffs (Boozer is out for the season, though Duke remains in the Tournament). As a versatile scorer and elite creator, Wagler has climbed as high as No. 6 on my draft board, and if a team needs a guard, don’t be surprised if he rises even higher.

7. Brayden Burries / SG / Arizona

Brayden Burries has been one of the most efficient scoring guards of the class, being one of the best shooters in the country. Although people adore his pure shooting, it is his decision-making that truly makes him one of the best prospects. Everything good does come with a downside, and for Burries, it is his limited bursts that make him an unreliable scoring threat for whatever team gets him.

8. Kingston Flemings / PG / Houston

Kingston Flemings has slowly developed into the most athleticscoring guard in the draft, with shades of a young Derrick Rose and Ja Morant, he perfectly fits a roster looking for that sort of build, although he is relatively smaller then the average player, he makes up for it in explosiveness, being able to get to the rim in any situation and thrives when he gets an open lane.

9. Mikel Brown Jr. / PG / Michigan State

Mikel Brown Jr. is a balanced guard that no one truly saw as a threat going into the 2025-26 NCAA D1 Season, but everyone who thought that was wrong. With 18.3 Points every night, Mikel Brown Jr. is the perfect, reliable, balanced, and all-around guard that many teams (especially teams that focus on just defense) need. One concern for me is that he doesn’t have that 1 elite trait that sets him apart from his draftees, but as the past has proven, teams love Army Swiss Knives.

10. Jayden Quaintance / PF/C / Kentucky

The 1st true defensive big in the draft class, Jayden Quaintance, brings the perfect balance and mix to the top 10 of this year’s draft. As an anchor big man who excels at rim protection and has extremely high defensive upside, his offensive limitations and extensive injury history have limited his potential. Still, the defense he possesses could help teams needing an extreme boost.

This draft class has been highlighted by the extreme depth and overall star power, from guys like Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer, who can get a bucket at any time, to more overall players such as AJ Dybansta and Keaton Weagler, but make no mistake, this lottery order will reshape the entire draft, depending on what that team is looking for.
