On Saturday night, the Indiana Pacers claimed a 125-111 victory over the New York Knicks, with Myles Turner and Tyrese Haliburton leading the charge. Turner contributed 23 points to the Pacers’ tally, while Haliburton chipped in with 22 points. Pascal Siakam added 19 points, and T.J. McConnell finished with 16 points, with the Pacers shooting an impressive 61% from the field and 48.3% from beyond the arc.

Jalen Brunson, who returned to the Knicks’ starting lineup after missing Thursday’s game due to an ankle sprain, put up a valiant effort, scoring 39 points. Alec Burks, who rejoined the Knicks in a trade deal with Bojan Bogdanovic from the Detroit Pistons before Thursday’s deadline, racked up 22 points, while Bogdanovic scored all 11 of his points in the first half of his New York debut. Precious Achiuwa scored 15 points, and Donte DiVincenzo added 14 points for the Knicks.

Despite a tight first half with neither team able to extend their lead beyond five points, the Pacers took the lead during the second half, which they never relinquished. They closed the third quarter with a nine-point lead after a 3-pointer by Obi Toppin. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks were unable to get within single digits, with Indiana extending its lead to a game-high 22 points thanks to Isaiah Jackson’s three-point play.

Despite the loss, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau expressed no disappointment in his team, given that they were playing without starters Julius Randle and OG Anunoby, as well as the center tandem of Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein. Overall, it was an all-around team effort from the Pacers, and Turner expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, saying, “We played with a little more of an edge. Tyrese was being special, and I had my imprints on the game.”
