On April 25th, The Miami Heat were making a point against their rivals, the Boston Celtics but then scored a franchise playoff record of 23 3-pointers, breaking the previous record of 20 that they set in 2021 on May 22nd in Milwaukee were then sent Giannis home 4-1 to also beat the Celtics 4-3 in the east finals to advance to the Finals for the second time in the last 5 years and the Eastern Conference finals for the third time in 5 years.
Even with Jimmy Butler sitting on the bench with a knee injury, this didn’t affect the Heat, even without their leader, they advanced from the play-in to the eighth seed to facing the record-setting Celtics, to win 111-101, tying the series 1-1. The Celtics will now visit the Heat in Miami for games 3 and 4 of the series.
The Celtics have broken many records this season, such as the most points in Celtics history in a single season with 9887 points, the most 3 points in Celtics history in a single season with 1351, the most 50-point wins in a season ever with 3, breaking the 1993 kings and 1979 Bucks record of 2.
Jaylen Brown scored 33 points, and 8 rebounds, while Jayson Tatum scored 28 points and also 8 rebounds.
For the Heat, their rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. scored 14 points, and they had 3 players score more than 20, Bam Adebayo and Caleb Martin both scored 21 points while Tyler Herro scored a team-high 24 points.
