Atlanta Hawks fined 100K for violating Player Participation Policy

The Atlanta Hawks fined by the NBA for a total of $100,000 for not following the League Player Participation Policy, which basically means that a star player on a team has to play their star players in a NBA cup or nationwide televised game or they will be fined.

The rule was implemented to increase participation in the regular season. The incident happened because Trae Young missed the Hawks game on the 12th of November vs the Celtics, which the Hawks somehow won.

After an investigation and a review from a physician, they all determined that Young could have played under the condition he was in. Young is currently averaging a league and career high in assists with 12.3 and a new career high in steals with 1.4, Young is also averaging 21.8 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 0.2 BPG.
