Cleveland Cavaliers centre Jarett Allen, who has been delivering incredible performances in the playoffs, will not be able to play in Game 5 due to a rib injury he sustained during the second half of Game 4 at Orlando. Allen took an elbow to his ribs and now has a bruised rib, which has forced him to sit out the next game.
Allen has been a crucial player for the Cavaliers in the playoffs, averaging 17.0 points and 13.8 rebounds per game, and shooting an impressive 67.6% from the field. His absence will certainly be felt by his team as he had a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds in Game 4 and grabbed 20 rebounds in the Game 2 win. Nevertheless, the Cavaliers will have to find a way to make up for Allen’s absence and not lose an important game 5.
