The Beginning.
From St. Vincent St-Marry LeBron James. He grew up in Akron, Ohio to a 16-year old single mother. He frequently moved, dealt with tons of poverty. But he ended up finding some stability living with Frank Walker who introduced him to basketball when he was 9 years old.
High School.
The attention and spotlight was ALL over him throughout his high school career. He was the cover of Sports Illustrated as “The Chosen One.” Throughout all the fame, LeBron still maintained a 3.3 GPA through 4 years of school. St. Vincent-St. Mary went to 3 state championships in 4 years under LeBron. People were so interested in LeBron that ESPN aired his high school games on ESPN, which is almost unheard of.
Rookie Season.
He was selected straight out of High School by the Cleveland Cavaliers first overall in 2003. He scored 25 points in his debut. Won Rookie of the Year, averaging 21 points per game and 6 assists and rebounds per game.
Legacy Continued.
LeBron was known as one of the best players in the NBA. Was voted as an All-Star in 2004-05, and was on an All NBA team in 2005-06. Lead the Cavs to the playoffs in 2007. LeBron won two MVP’s by the time 2014 came.
The Decision.
LeBron decided he wanted to air his decision on ESPN of where he would go next. “I’m gonna take my talents to South Beach” LeBron says he regretted the decision of airing it on TV years later because he felt like it betrayed Cleveland fans.
Miami Bron.
This version of LeBron is looked at as the best version of LeBron James we’ve ever seen. Making multiple finals and winning 2 of them. He achieved his career high in 2014 scoring 61 points.
Coming Back.
LeBron came back to Cleveland in 2014, leading them to 4 straight finals appearances. A very historic 2016 championship coming back against the Warriors down 3-1. Before joining the Lakers in 2018.
The End?
LeBron was 33 when he joined the Lakers, many people thought he was just going to end his career being washed and retire within the next few years, as we know… this is not true.
Still Going.
He is currently 41 years old throwing down dunks nightly with Luka Doncic along side him. He has broken the scoring record and many more records still to this day. We don’t know how much longer he’s gonna play, but the Lakers are looking good, and Bron is looking for his 5th…
