Veteran sharpshooter Eric Gordon is officially testing the free agent market.

According to ESPN, Gordon is declining his $3.4 million player option with the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2025–26 season. The 35-year-old guard will now explore free agency, though a return to Philly remains on the table.

Gordon brought veteran presence and floor spacing to the Sixers’ bench last season, shooting 38% from deep while providing leadership for a team that struggled with health. His decision gives Philadelphia more cap flexibility, but they’ll have competition if they want to bring him back — contenders always value playoff-proven shooting.

With free agency heating up, Gordon could be one of the most sought-after bargain vets on the market.
