Victor Wembanyama, the NBA’s brightest prospect, the next face of the league, and by far the greatest talent the world has ever seen, has finally been cracked. After making the NBA Finals in his 1st ever postseason, Victor Wembanyama had the chance to become one of the youngest Champions and Finals MVPs in NBA History, but the lights just seem to be too bright.

The New York Knicks Have Shocked The Entire Sports World
While everyone thought that the New York Knicks stood virtually no chance vs the 2nd best team in the NBA, it seems that the San Antonio Spurs are, quite frankly, getting destroyed by the underdogs in the 2026 NBA Finals. The New York Knicks shocked the world, winning both games 1 and 2 on the road, coming back to New York, the city was buzzing, but in front of the president, the Knicks lost in the final stretch.
This was not only a must-win for the Spurs, but also a game that the Knicks could risk losing, as they already led 2-0 in the series before Game 3, but what really shocked the world wasn’t the New York Knicks Game 4 win; it was how the San Antonio Spurs managed to lose the game.
At the end of the 1st half, the San Antonio Spurs were leading the Knicks by over double digits, racking up the 3rd largest lead in NBA Finals history at the half. This game was already wrapped up 24 Minutes in, the Knicks fans were devastated, and the arena began to sombre, but then, a miracle happened.
Slowly, the lead began to vanish, but by the 4th quarter, all of the San Antonio fans’ dreams were destroyed. The Knicks had done it, the single greatest comeback in NBA playoff history. New York held the Spurs to 30 Points in the 2nd half, over half of what the Spurs scored in the 1st half, and now, the Big Apple is 1 win away from an NBA title.

What And How Is This Victor Wembanyama’s Fault?
How does this all tie back to Victor Wembanyama? Well, Wembanyama has been by far the best player in the world for the past 3 months, being able to take down a young Blazers team through a concussion, battling it out with Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves in 6 Games, and somehow managing to pull off a miracle vs the Thunder in Game 7.
San Antonio has proven themselves to not just be this young, developing team anymore; they are here to contend, but in their 1st ever post season, the cracks are beginning to show against a far more experienced, perhaps even more resilient group in the New York Knicks.
Victor Wembanyama has been dominating every single opponent in the playoffs, but always loses steam and fight by the end of the 2nd half. Victor Wembanyama has shot 54% from the field in the 1st half of the NBA Finals, leading at the half 50% of the finals, but by the end of the 2nd half, he shoots 36% from the field in the 2nd half, something the Spurs have to address.
His emotions have always, since he entered the league, been the most vital part of his character, remaining stoic in tough situations, but not being afraid to cry in incredibly overwhelming ones. But when Victor Wembanyama gets angry, like in this postseason, he is his own biggest enemy.
While San Antonio is not completely out of this series yet, the odds of coming back from a 3-1 deficit are so astronomically low, still to this day in the NBA, remaining one of the toughest things to do, with a 2.63% win percentage for the trailing team, with only a prime LeBron James being able to pull off the feat.
If you believe Victor Wembanyama can still win the NBA Finals, you’re not only delusional but a truly admirable fan of the San Antonio Spurs, and I wish you the best of luck in life, especially in decision-making and probability situations, but if you would like to know the latest news regarding Wembanyama and the Spurs, follow me on X for daily updates!
