At the age of 23 years old, Victor Wembanyama has already taken the league by storm in only his 3rd season, making his 1st ever playoff appearance, and has been dominating the entire run, eventually earning himself a trip to the NBA Finals, a feat only accomplished by Magic Johnson (Playing above 25 Minutes a game in their 1st ever playoff appearance).

What Could Victor Wembanyama’s Resume Look Like with A Championship?

Regardless if Victor Wembanyama wins the NBA Finals, he has already built up one of the most impressive resumes in recent NBA history, and at his young age, he has plenty of time to add to his list.

As the 1st overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft and the 2024 Rookie of the Year, these are only the start of his elaborate reign of terror, also becoming a 2-time All-Star, 2-time member of the All-NBA defensive 1st team, a 3-time blocking champion, and an All-NBA 1st team nod, all within 3 Seasons.

Wembanyama has fulfilled everything pre-draft analysts thought he would be, but becoming not only the youngest Defensive Player of the Year, but also the 1st ever unanimous Defensive Player of the Year in NBA history, somehow convinced every single voter that he was the best defender in the NBA.

Wembanyama also led the San Antonio Spurs to the 2nd best record in the NBA, taking their 1st of many Southwest Division titles, but Wembanyama’s playoff success is what has led to such high praise as of late. Taking home the Western Conference Magic Johnson trophy, if Wemby can win a championship, this would make him one of the youngest Finals MVPs in NBA History.

Victor Wembanyama can easily become a Top 10 Player ever if he continues down this path, and if the Spurs play their cards right, they could be the next dynasty forming in the NBA, but only time and progression can truly tell how far this squad can go.
