The NBA has recently fined LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue a sum of $35,000 for his public criticism of the officiating and for questioning the integrity of the game officials. This news was announced by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations.
Lue’s comments were made after the Clippers’ win over the Golden State Warriors on February 14th, at the Chase Center. It is reported that Lue made his remarks outside the locker room, where he publicly criticized the officiating and questioned the integrity of the game officials.
The NBA has strict policies against public criticism of game officials, and such actions are considered a violation of the league’s code of conduct. As a result, the league took action against Lue and imposed a financial penalty for his actions.
